If you do not register for our services or events and you do not refer others to our organization and you do not submit service or information requests to our organization, we do not have any contact information or personally identifiable information about you.

If you register as a member of our organization, register to attend an event associated with our organization, donate to our causes or request information from us, we may enter your contact information into our database to respond to your request or to contact you in the future regarding our organization and its initiatives. You may choose not to be contacted by our organization and you may also choose the circumstances under which you wish to be contacted by our organization.

We limit the use of any information you provide to us regardless of how the information was received (on-line form, email, facsimile transmission or regular mail).   • Request your voluntary completion of our internal surveys in order to assist us with improving the nature and quality of our services;

Use of Your Personal Information By Outside Parties

We value you as a member and visitor of our organization. We share your concerns about privacy. We want you to know that we respect your privacy; and we protect your information.

  • We do not sell or make available to outside parties your personal contact information or any information you submit through our website or directly to our offices.
  • We do not share your application or registration information with persons, companies or organizations outside of The Valor Institute, Inc. that would use that information to contact you about their products and services.
  • If you are a therapist seeking to join our organization as a member, please be aware that an application is required and the information contained in your application will be maintained in our corporate records and databases. Your application information is not made available to any party outside of the Valor Institute, Inc. except for our Therapist Advisory Council. The Therapist Advisory Council will review your initial and renewal application in order to better serve you and the peers (clients) you may refer to our organization. Our Therapist Advisory Council is comprised of independent mental health practitioners who have volunteered their time and talent to help assure our peer (client) and therapist communities operate in a manner that best serves the individual peer (client) and therapist member. Our independent, volunteer Therapist Advisory Council is obligated to maintain the confidentiality of your application information and no member of the Council is authorized to use the information you provide for any purpose other than noted above.
  • If you are a peer (client), your therapist will complete a Client Referral Form providing your name, address, e-mail address, phone and recommendation for services you and your therapist select together. All peers (clients) must have a referral from their current therapist to join our organization and participate in its service offerings. Your contact and service request information is stored in our databases and is not available to any party.
  • We do not publish member listings unless you are a therapist member, ValorNet Care Partner or ValorNetBiz Partner and you have expressly authorized the posting of such information as you provide to us for individuals or organizations to locate your services through the use of our website. You may at any time rescind your request that we post the information you provide to us. Should you wish to have the information you provided to us removed from our site, please provide written instruction to us at our corporate headquarters as soon as possible.
  • We do not publish therapist member or client (peer) e-mail contact addresses in any forum. All therapist members and client (peer) members have access to our secure Web site areas and may provide their e-mail addresses to any party in those forums at their own discretion.
  • We communicate to our employees about the need to protect your information. We have established physical, electronic and procedural policies to protect this information.

Security of Your Information

The Valor Institute, Inc. is committed to securing any information we receive from you. We take the following steps to assure security of information we maintain:

  • We secure the areas where we maintain hard copies of information regardless of whether the information was obtained from our Web site, through regular mail or through e-mail submissions to our office.
