Valor EventSeptember 18th – DID/DDNOS 101, An Educational Event for friends and family who are interested in learning more about DID/DDNOS. It is the first in a series of four quarterly educational events scheduled throughout 2010-2011 designed for those who support individuals healing from a dissociative disorder. Our workshop on September 18th runs from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at St. Philips Cathedral, Room 381, 2744 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta, GA 30305. The program is taught by Brandy Smith, EdS, LAPC, NCC. Registration is open to the general public. Membership in The Valor Institute, Inc.'s Support Peer Community is not required for participation. You may register on-line at the top of this screen. Simply select "Sep 18-Support Peers DID/DDNOS 101" from the list of options and complete the information requested. Please enter the word "Support" in the field that asks for your Professional Designation. We look forward to seeing you there.

Local Professional Seminars, Workshops and Events

RESOURCE:***New Dissociative Disorders Consultation Group starting in September, 2010*** – Tara Williams, PhD and Rusti Klein, LCSW (co-instructors for the ISSTD's Dissociative Disorders Psychotherapy Training Program) are designing an ongoing consultation group for therapists treating complex PTSD and Dissociative Disorder cases. The group is designed for participating clinicians to receive monthly consultation on challenging cases and so that all members see the progression of cases over time. The group will meet one Sunday a month from September, 2010 through May, 2011, and will cost $50 per session for a total of $450 (half to be paid up front and the other half due after group four).
